Web design refers to the skill and/or knowledge of creating a presentation via the internet that is delivered to an end-user. More specifically, in entails the coding of websites, using hypertext and/or hypermedia, and the use of graphics and multimedia outlets to improve or enhance the functionality and/or appearance of a web site. Aside from the basic appearance and functionality, web design also deals with the technical aspect of creating a web site, which employs various types of disciplines such as graphic design, marketing, communication design, and animation in order to create the desired interface to relate a particular service or information to people. Aside from these various disciplines, web design will require knowledge of computer languages and programs such HTML, XML, JavaScript, SQL, and Flash, in order to create what can be considered a good web site. Web design tutorials are designed to provide information regarding all of the aspects and procedures involved in creating a website, which may also include ways on to improve, manage, and update already existing websites.
